True all inclusive. The strongest robot vacuum cleaner ever "ECOVACS DEEBOT X1 OMNI" review

ECOVACS provided DEEBOT X1 OMNI, the flagship of ECOVACS, which is said to be the strongest in history. I will review.

At the time of the X1 TURBO introduced earlier, in addition to the obstacle sensor and mapping function, which are very excellent as a robot vacuum cleaner, "with a mop cleaning function!" "There is also an automatic mop drying function!" There is!” “We even added a smart speaker ! ”

With the X1 TURBO, it was necessary to manually remove the dust from the main body and throw it away. Well, if there is a garbage collection function ... I also posted a link to OMNI at the end of the introduction, but I was surprised when I opened the link. High price range of less than $1,450 .

This time, we have provided a coupon that allows you to purchase such OMNI at a very good price , so it is described at the end of the article.

Opened

It's so heavy that even Yamato Transport can't carry it to the author's room, who lives on the first floor, without using a trolley. I also had a hard time carrying it to my room.

A familiar sight to say the least. that? Could it be...? I will try to line it up with the X1 TURBO that I introduced earlier. The left is OMNI and the right is the robot vacuum cleaner attached to TURBO. It looks exactly the same, doesn't it?

If you look carefully, you can see the letters DUST OUTLET on the left rear. Dust is sucked from here, but there is a similar description for TURBO. It looks like they are using the same chassis.

The dust box is the same as the X1 TURBO. After checking this, I confirmed that there is a mouth for sucking dust.

The accessories? It seems that the accessories are exactly the same.

The mop can be put on and taken off with Velcro. Therefore, it is also possible to put only the mop part in the washing machine. The mop surface feels like a rough terry cloth.

Next, we will talk about charging stations that are very different from TURBO.

The height is close to 60 cm. It's the largest robot vacuum cleaner I've ever reviewed. The station is so big that the iPhone 12 Pro Max looks like a very small smartphone. If you check the inside, you can see the dust suction port that could not be confirmed with TURBO at the bottom right. Other than that the specs seem to be the same. Due to the very simple design, I had a hard time figuring out where to take out the dust box, but when I touched the bottom, I discovered that there was a button. You can open the dust box by pressing this button.

The dust box is a drawer type, and we have adopted a horizontal layout type, which is rare among other companies that have a vertical layout. I think it has something to do with the water tank on top.

The dust box can be completely removed by pulling down the claws at the back, making it easy to clean. This way it can be fully pulled out and cleaned. Also, the route from the adjacent part of the main body to the dust box is very short, so this is easy to clean.

The upper tank part, which I liked on the X1 TURBO, is still used. A fashionable layout with water tanks on the left and right, and convenient accessories stored on the border. I put it side by side with the X1 TURBO. OMNI on the left and X1 TURBO on the right. Exactly the height of one dust box is different.

sense of use

The feeling of use is the same as the previously reviewed X1 TURBO, or rather exactly the same. The behavior and operation method of the application have not changed at all, please check the X1 TURBO review for details. (I'm doing my best with X1 TURBO)

The method of connecting to the network is the same. This time I choose DEEBOT X1 OMNI.

Simply follow the instructions displayed on your smartphone to complete the connection to the network. Japanese is also natural, so there is no problem at all.

The voice guidance is announced in English at the first startup, but there is a guidance that can be changed to Japanese after completing the initial settings. By changing to Japanese, Yiko, the voice assistant, can also be used in Japanese.

The automatic ejection item appears as an item that was not in the X1 TURBO. You can set the number of times to collect garbage. Of course, you can leave it to me automatically, or you can dare to specify the timing yourself, and you can set this up as you like.

When you start scanning the room, a 3D map is generated using the LiDAR and camera mounted on the X1 . If you can scan well, you can use the voice assistant to clean only the specified place. Smart like a maid.

However, ECOVACS scanning, once you use it, you will be very surprised, but the accuracy is insanely good . If you throw a plastic bottle at a regular robot vacuum cleaner, it will slam into the area, but the X1 recognizes and avoids objects like plastic bottles and thin legs like light stands. I have to keep my room clean... I'm conscious of it.

And what makes ECOVACS interesting is that you can try these experimental functions. Updating a conventional robot vacuum cleaner is not a big deal, but ECOVACS may add such new features through updates and lab functions. It's like updating your smartphone, isn't it exciting?

Which would you choose, TURBO or OMNI?

Well, I would like to express my impressions because I am the author who used both. In particular, I used the X1 TURBO habitually for about half a year after that review.

About the X1 TURBO

I've been using it for about half a year, but the mapping function is very good. There are very few traces of using the bumper on the side of the robot vacuum cleaner without bumping firmly even in my dirty room. If you look at this photo that I used at the beginning, you can see that the right side is so beautiful that I can't believe it's been used for half a year.

On the other hand, I was very dissatisfied with the mop function. That the carpet cannot be cleaned unless the mop function is removed. Therefore, most of the mop was removed and used. Also, every time I throw away trash, I have to take out the main unit from the station and take out the dust box and throw it away. There were times when I thought it would be nice to have garbage collection without the mop function.

About OMNI

OMNI has no complaints because it has the garbage collection function that was the only dissatisfaction (luxury) while keeping that clever function. because it's all there. If you don't need it, don't use it, and if you need it, you can use it, so you can use it luxuriously. OMNI is exactly what you need. For the time being, if you get lost, buy the top model. This is fine.

Overall review

DEEBOT X1 OMNI is the best. Is the price the only bottleneck?

DEEBOT X1 OMNI is a very good product. This is my impression after using the OMNI after using the X1 TURBO. This year's robot vacuum cleaner review is so full that I think OMNI is fine.

However, because it has all the functions, everything comes back to the price. At the time of release, it was sold at a very expensive price of $1,435 at electronics stores such as Yodobashi Camera and Bic Camera. When it comes to a price close to $1,450, it's not easy to click. It's higher than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

However, with the Amazon sale that was held from September 24th, it will be sold for $1,080. Offered at a whopping 25% off. Moreover, they also provided a $15 yen coupon that can be applied to the sale price. If you use everything, you can buy the X1 OMNI introduced this time for $1,065. This price is a very profitable thing that you can purchase at almost the same price as the normal X1 TURBO. Please check it.

digression

Recently, for some reason, there have been a lot of requests for robot vacuum cleaners, so I made a simple photography booth in my room that could also handle robot vacuum cleaners. , is in urgent need of reconstruction. tough. It's almost time to turn the whole room into a photo booth...
