Rumba supremacy is over! ? Robot vacuum cleaner "yeedi vac 2 pro+" review.

I will review the "yeedi vac 2 pro" released by yeedi.

This product has been held on the crowdfunding site Makuake until June this year, and is a convenient 2-in-1 model that can be used as a vacuum cleaner and a dust cloth that has collected over $72,482.

It's a brand you don't hear much about, but that's no surprise, it's a brand that was launched in 2019 and has expanded its shipments to 20 countries and 180,000 units in just three years. .

Opened

It arrived in two large boxes. There is a considerable sense of volume. One side contained the vac 2 pro body, and the other side contained the garbage collection station. Although the garbage collection station needed to be assembled using three screws, the screwdriver was also included, so I was able to assemble it quickly without spending too much time. The main body is designed based on white, and it is a design that matches well with white wallpaper and thin wood grain floors. The thickness of the main body is 7.7 cm. It's quite thin, so you can get under furniture and clean it. The back looks like this. It has a rotating brush and a suction part. You can replace it with a mop  for wiping with the attached attachment.

The lid on the top of the main unit can be opened, and by storing buttons and dust boxes that are not often used here, the usual appearance is very good. The garbage station is made simple. A method of sucking into a paper pack. When the paper pack is removed from the station, the opening closes, so you can take the garbage to the trash can without looking at it. It's a small part that has nothing to do with gadgets, but it's good to have consideration for these parts.

Worrisome suction power

What really matters is the suction power. In fact, we used 15g each of baking soda and cat litter to compare the weight of the dust box before and after cleaning. Since this is a suction power test, the mop part was removed during the test. Since the vac 2 pro can adjust the suction power, I cleaned it in strong mode this time. The dust box weighed 191g before cleaning and 220g after cleaning. The recovery rate is about 97%.

For reference, we also measured Roomba i2, which has the world's top share. Although the i2 is not a high-end model, iRobot says it has the same suction power as the high-end series i7, so it can be used as a comparison target.

However, the Roomba i2 was able to recover only 22g, and the recovery rate was only about 73%. It means that vac 2 pro has overwhelmingly stronger suction power than Roomba i2.

Also, the difference between these two models is noticeable even when you look at the operation. The floor where the vac 2 pro passed is very clean (the mop is removed), while the floor where the Roomba i2 passes has many things that are clearly left unabsorbed.

Also, if you observe the grooves of the flooring after cleaning is complete, you can see the difference in suction power here as well. I thought it would be nice to have a good match with the Roomba, but to be honest, the yeedi vac 2 pro won out. Also, Roomba's filter cannot be replaced and is disposable, but this yeedi vac 2 pro can be washed with water, so you can save a lot of replacement frequency.

There is also a water wiping function, which is quite convenient. Since one unit can be used in two roles, it is very helpful because it eliminates the trouble of cleaning the floor with a quickle wiper.

If you raise the difficulty of this vacuum cleaner, is it the point that you have to throw away the water after cleaning the mop? It would be convenient if this was done automatically, but I think it's quite troublesome to have to throw away the water after cleaning the mop every time. There are models that automatically change the water of the mop , but this one does not suck up dust at the station, so it would be nice if there was a model that could do both .

operability

The operability of yeedi's dedicated app is simple. You can download it from Google Play Store/App Store. The structure of the app is simple. You can also set the suction power adjustment and repeat cleaning twice. In addition, it is very convenient to know the usage status of consumables. I think it's probably calculated from the usage time, but just being able to see this makes it quite convenient.

In addition, it is very convenient that there is a mode that does not start for a certain period of time to prevent runaway at midnight. Speaking of common functions, that's about it, but it's also important to have common functions as a matter of course.

It seems to support both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, but Alexa could not be linked. Although Google Assistant was able to cooperate, the only operation that can be used is start / pause cleaning. Other operations are likely to be done from the app.

Notifications such as the start and end of cleaning and troubles are sent from the app, making it easy to check and convenient. It seems that notifications will come properly even when lifted from the floor. Well, I think DEEBOT was a different manufacturer, but let's not worry about that.

Overall review

It has a simple appearance with white as the main color, and its functionality is comparable to other high-end models, such as mapping functions and area restrictions. It comes with a garbage collection station, so you only need to replace the paper pack once every month or two.

The model introduced this time is "yeedi vac 2 pro+", which has just started general sales the other day. I've only used it for a short period of time, so I don't know about durability and other issues, but so far, I feel that the suction power and ease of use are very good. Please check it.
