uncool but get used to it

The body size of Find X3 Pro is as follows.

  • Length: about 163.6mm
  • Width: about 74.0mm
  • Thickness: about 8.26mm
  • Weight: about 193g

The size is very good, and the edge display fits comfortably in the hand. I don't want to wear it because it weighs over 200g with the case, but the frame is made of stainless steel and the scratches are very noticeable, so I had no choice but to wear it.

The domestic version of the Find X3 Pro comes in two colors, gloss black and white, but the black is Tsuruteca's "mirror finish", so it's a pass. In contrast to black, the white has a matte texture, and fingerprints are almost completely invisible. The black one has an impression of luxury, but since it is a smartphone that is used every day, it is practical.

The look of the Find X3 Pro may be controversial. When I first saw it, I honestly thought that the surroundings of the camera were a bit ugly and that it had a strange design.

A subtle appearance that neither likes nor dislikes. As I continued to use it, I didn't think anything of it, but I personally like the look of the previous model Find X2 Pro.

The bottom has a SIM slot, a microphone, a Type-C connector, and a speaker. The SIM slot can be inserted one by one on the front and back, so it is perfect for those who want to operate dual SIM.

A power button is mounted on the right side. Many models have volume buttons and power buttons on the right side, but Find X3 Pro has volume buttons on the "left" side instead. I don't think iPhone users feel uncomfortable, but I was a little surprised. By the way, the swelling of the camera part is not a big deal.

The Find X3 Pro is equipped with a 6.7-inch, 120Hz-driven display. Up to QHD+ resolution. Since the curve of the edge is modest, there is almost no misoperation. I think it strikes a good balance between good looks and practicality.

Is it better in a Snapdragon 888-equipped machine that does not have a battery?

The reason why I decided to buy the Find X3 Pro was because I saw word of mouth that it was excellent among Snapdragon 888-equipped machines. Many of the 888-equipped machines I have purchased so far generate a lot of heat, and because of that, the battery life is poor, so it was difficult to use as a main.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra is also excellent, but if you actually buy it, it's expensive, so it's hard to get your hands on it. Find X3 Pro can be purchased for less than $711 if you make full use of the OCN Mobile ONE sale, so we decided that this might be the best fit.

The benchmark scores are as follows.

Antutu benchmark score

The result of Antutu benchmark score (Ver9.1.0) is about 670,000 points.

GeekBench

The result of GeekBench is 897 for single score and 3183 for multicore score .

I used it regularly with a refresh rate of 120Hz, but I felt that the heat generation was still modest among the Snapdragon 888-equipped devices. The LeitzPhone 1, which was pretty awful, got a little warm even when using Twitter and YouTube, and even rose to the point where even light gaming was annoying.

Since it is a high-end smartphone that supports 120Hz, there is no hitching or stuttering. I have no complaints. I tried playing the heavyweight game "Genshin", but the frame rate is quite stable even at high settings and 60fps .

However, after 15 minutes, the terminal became too hot to hold . Lowering the frame rate to 30fps will help you a lot. We recommend using an external cooler when playing at high settings.

After all, I used it hard and it lasted just one day

The Find X3's battery capacity is 4500mAh, but the battery life isn't that great.

I tried it on the day of the camera review described later. I used it with automatic brightness adjustment on and 120Hz on, and enjoyed playing music and chatting on YouTube. The rest is SNS and browser. Since I spent more than 8 hours on YouTube, the battery drained quickly, and by 5:00 p.m. it was already down to 20%. If it is light use, it will last for more than a day, but the battery life is bad.

However, 65W rapid wired charging can cover this drawback to some extent. This is really explosive, and it recovers to 100% immediately after charging for about 30 minutes on the bullet train on the way home. I really appreciate the benefits of fast charging.

camera

Find X3 Pro's camera configuration is as follows.

  • 15mm super wide-angle camera (50 million pixels)
  • 24mm standard camera (50 million pixels)
  • 48mm telephoto camera (13 million pixels)
  • Microscope camera (3 million pixels)

Let's take a look at an example.

I tried using Find X3 Pro for a day

I had an important business in Shizuoka, so I tried using it all day while checking the camera and battery (all photos are with AI correction on and HDR on). With 100% battery, I left home at around 8:30 and headed to Sendai station. The Japanese domestic version of this machine does not have FeliCa.

I usually don't ride the Shinkansen at all, but I was surprised at how many empty seats there were. If it was before Corona, I think there would have been a few more people even on weekdays.Taken while running. A rolling shutter is unavoidable for a smartphone. This is held horizontally, but if you hold it vertically, it will not be distorted.

Around 11:30 to Tokyo station. I was watching YouTube during the ride, but the battery level was about 84% when I arrived. Photos taken with the Find X3 Pro tend to have very vivid colors. There are scenes where the color is too vivid and feels strange, but if you turn off the AI, the color will become more natural, so you can use it according to the scene.

The Find X3 Pro does not have a periscope telephoto camera, so the zoom performance is not strong . Since it was installed in the previous model Find X2 Pro, the specs are down. The 5x hybrid zoom isn't particularly noticeable, but it's noticeable when you zoom in further.

Personally, the microscope camera is certainly full of romance, but I have never had the opportunity to use it, so I wanted it to have a highly practical periscope Ultra wide angle camera. There is little distortion, and there are 50 million pixels, so the resolution is solid.

I took a picture in night mode, but it was actually a little darker. It is an impression that you can shoot a lot brighter by applying the night view mode.

I thought that the Find X3 Pro was quite versatile, with the feeling that " I can always take pictures that exceed the passing score in any situation... ".

fun microscope mode

Find X3 Pro is equipped with a microscope camera, which allows you to take microphotographs. I took a picture of the speaker, but it's clear and doesn't look bad. The amount of light is sufficient thanks to the ring light mounted around the lens.

In my daily life, I rarely think, "I want to take pictures with this microscope," so I almost never use it . Today's smartphones can do things like this, so I think it will be a topic for discussion.

audio

The Leitz Phone 1 speakers I used before the Find X3 Pro were disappointing for the high end, but I have no complaints here. It supports Dolby Atmos and has very clear sound quality. The presence and volume are perfect, and it feels like a high-end smartphone must be like this.

Fingerprint authentication

Basically, high-end smartphones from any manufacturer are not particularly surprised because fingerprint authentication is explosive. It's good that the Find X3 Pro is blazingly fast, but the authentication position is slightly lower than smartphones of other manufacturers, so it may be of interest to those who are interested.

Overall review

I think that the Find X3 Pro is suitable for the following people.

  • You don't have to have Osaifu-Keitai
  • The screen size is large and high resolution and high drive are important
  • I want to take photos that look crisp and take advantage of microscope lenses
  • I want a high-end Android that can be bought for about $711

I think the battery life is weak, but it lasts for a day and can be covered with 65W quick charging. Even with 5% left when you wake up, it's really convenient that it's almost full in 30 minutes.

The Find X3 Pro is an honor student smartphone that is mostly finished to a high standard. Recent high-end products from other companies usually cost about $1,060, but the selling price of this unit is not so high, and if you purchase it through a telecommunications carrier such as OCN Mobile ONE, you can purchase it cheaply, so if you are interested, check it out. Try it.
